Get Sharp - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Get Sharp is the debut album by electro-pop group The Limousines. It was released on July 27, 2010, through iTunes and Hot Topic on indie label Orchard City Books and Noise. The album features the songs “Very Busy People” and “Internet Killed the Video Star”, the latter being an allusion to the Buggles hit “Video Killed the Radio Star.”

This has got to be my most favorite album with the weirdest cover. Like all the songs are my favorites and with it being released in 2010, that’s a rare thing.

I have to listen to the album from start to finish at least once during my work week.

New David Bowie Songs to Accompany Career-Spanning Compilation

David Bowie will release two new songs this fall along with a career-spanning compilation, Nothing Has Changed, which contains hits and previously unreleased tracks from his 50-year career. One of the new tracks, the nearly eight-minute-long “Sue (Or a Season in Crime),” which Bowie recorded with producer Tony Visconti, will be available on the compilation but its B side, “‘Tis a Pity She’s a Whore,” will be available only on the “Sue” 10-inch single and as a digital download, available in the U.S. on November 28th. The comp, which will be available in a variety of configurations, will be available on November 18th.

Sequenced in reverse chronological order, Nothing Has Changed, whose title comes from a lyric in the song “Sunday,” off 2002’s Heathen, contains songs representing each era of the singer’s career, beginning with “Sue” and selections from last year’s The Next Day and The Next Day Extra releases. It includes Bowie’s many hits (“Space Oddity,” “Rebel Rebel,” “Ziggy Stardust,” “Let’s Dance”), and culminates with Bowie’s debut single, “Liza Jane,” which he put out at age 17 in 1964 under the name Davie Jones and the King Bees. Auntie Felicia O’Dell’s Cooking Show is What We Need

There are times I come across silver and gold on these internets and tonight is one of those times. I have been introduced to Felicia O’Dell (aka Auntie Fee) and her resourceful cooking. My life has been changed and I am made better for it.

Felicia O’Dell (I like that I can call her Sister O’Dell) is basically everyone’s auntie who gives no dambs about your feelings, cusses like a sailor but has a heart of gold. And she can make a gourmet meal with $3.35. She decided to feed 7 people with less than $4 and show us all how she did it.

Let me say right now. If you’re offended by cuss words or are at work or with the kids or easily butthurt, skip these videos. Don’t say I didn’t warn you and I don’t wanna hear how offended you are in the comments either.

I’ve been meaning to post something about Auntie Fee since I saw her on Kimmel a few weeks ago but this article says it all better.
