Last night I tried listen to John Coltrane before I went to sleep. That didn’t work out so well.

Sometimes I come home from the grocery store, grab a can of spray paint from four years ago, and the next thing I know I’m wondering how I’m gonna get this silver paint off my fingers before work tomorrow.
This could be part of the reason why I’m divorced. 🤔

When I go outside at just the right time, what’s really important is obvious. And it ain’t me.

Audio (MP3): 20171124 - Each and every time I started writing
People always say that the 12 steps are in order for a reason. I guess I never really paid that much attention to that statement until after I was in recovery for a year or so. Looking back on my experience with Step 4 I know there’s no way in hell that I would’ve been able to write a searching and fearless moral inventory if I didn’t have a concept of God that I believed in. I just wouldn’t have.
Writing them was hard (I’ve done two) and I felt all kinds of feelings with the second one. Anger, shame, guilt, regret. Horror. Felt all the things that drinking kept me from feeling. I had burning resentments and sexual traumas. Had broken friendships and ruined relationships. And more.

Around this time last year I wrote a handful of negative things about Trump. I’ve slowed way down since then.
I’m not as outraged as I was. I’m just disappointed.
I’m sad that EPA and FCC are being steered toward favoring corporations and away from favoring the people. Since Trump is a business man first, I guess that shouldn’t surprise me.
Gina McCarthy ran the EPA from 2013-2017. She has a Master of Science in Environmental Health Engineering and Planning and Policy.
Scott Pruitt runs the EPA now. He has a Juris Doctor, a political lawyer.
Tom Wheeler ran the FCC from 2013-2017. He had worked in cable and telecommunications since 1976.
Ajit Pai runs the FCC now. He has a Juris Doctor as well. Another political lawyer.
I’d like someone running the governmental agencies with actual experience in them. Just my two cents but we need someone who’s passionate about the environment to be leading the EPA. We need someone passionate about communications to be leading the FCC.
Maybe I’m wrong but I doubt it.
