Peeps, here’s your went-to-school-and-i-was-very-nervous Wednesday jam. Only somebody who’s 19 could write such a masterpiece. And please enjoy the shit out of Roland Orzabal 80s dancing, too.

It always throws me because I heard the Gary Jules version from Donnie Darko first and this one is so fast and like … Those lyrics are not dance music lyrics

True, the lyrics have never made me want to moonwalk

Peeps, here’s your you-keep-your-distance Friday jam.
While going down your own Tears For Fears rabbit hole, do yourself a favor and DON’T listen to any live version of this song from 2000 or later. Your bum hole will be ruined for life.
But back to the video… I was happy that Roland and the librarian were together in the end. Without the chimp. Animals really shouldn’t wear clothes.

Also, since it’s CD Friday, please enjoy the Donnie Darko footage.

Donnie Darko didn’t happen for me in real time. i caught up with Donnie LONG after the fact on a DVD with extras that i bought.
a woman i worked with was the age appropriate for Donnie when Donnie happened and she was in love with him from those days.
i watched it, maybe 10 years late, and i fell in love with all of its surrealism.
i wonder why surrealism is called that? not the history of the word. just that more of life fits in the surreal category than not for me (ok, at least half the time) and i’m happy with those numbers. divided by zero and multiplied by green.

Ya, I didn’t watch Darko when it first came out either. Maybe 2-3 years later. It was one where too many people I knew hyped it and then I was all smug, like it couldn’t be that good. And then it was that good.
And plus one for surrealism is more everyday life. Me, two.

“…make me go to Rehab, i say NO, NO, NO!”
Elaine wants me to go to CardioRehab. It’s exercise. Basically good for you stuff. I wasn’t thrilled. THEN, the receptionist was smarmy with me, and… … …things went to hell in a handbasket.
Receptionist: “I can’t find you in here (the computer). You’ve cancelled like 4 times, or whatever.”
Me (stage direction: the character of Me is seething): “I DIDN’T cancel like 4 times. OR WHATEVER.”
Downhill from there. They didn’t care if I came, left or got snakebit.
I’m not going to that ReHab, that’s for sure.

New coffee/tea cup. I’ve had my MS one for about ten years. This one better last as long.

Also made a special trip all the way over to Fresh Market to get my absolute fave tea.
I started drinking this cinnamon chai when drinking coffee after 2pm became a bad idea.

Usually I’m not picky about the brands. My favorites are the Rooibos and any kind of Spicy Chai.

Me, too! It’s may be the best bottle tea out there.
