did i ever tell you that i climbed over the rail when i was in the hospital? they wanted me to pee in the bottle, like a good toby. i said fukc that. i climbed over. elaine had already bailed and went to rat me out. she told ‘em i wasn’t going to “stay”. they sent the sweetest little ol’ girl to come make sure i wouldn’t climb out no more. i should point out that this sweetest lil’ ol’ girl was a biscuit. she was young and cute and ambitious. she read her nursing student book the whole time.
it crossed my mind but i couldn’t administer the verbal abuse. she seemed to be the real deal, IE: unprepared for me in adult portions. sooo, i obeyed. i stayed. it might have been the first sign in the apocalypse.
but you don’t have to like it or let ‘em think they’re winning.

Sounds like I came across as an authentic public speaker then. I was worried I’d only fooled myself.

I felt like the tone matched how your posts tend to “sound” when I read them, so I definitely think your writing style is effective in sounding like the way you talk. Your reading speed was fine, and the way you read it didn’t sound over-rehearsed, but didn’t sound like you were unfamiliar with it either (I’m sure the four takes had something to do with that). ;)

Thankies!! I tried to come across as if I was actually just saying it to you. I generally write how I talk so it was just a matter of slowing myself down as I tend to read faster aloud. Well, and then there were the four takes to get it up to par. ;)

Normally I’m the kind of person who skips audio and video posts because it requires me to connect headphones and I’m lazy; however, I enjoyed the audio on this. 😎

I’m watching NBC news. I can’t stand it. I’m outnumbered 3 to me most nights at work.

I try to go back to the impromptu “news conference” he gave in early Jan. It was so obvious he had no plan. He did not expect to win. He’s nervous, guilty, without a clue.

On the news tonight he’s defending the notion that there are 2 sides to every story, including this one.

Eorr had the light on and I wanted it off so I could watch TV. she finally got up to go to bed and i went over to turn the light off.
it was a struggle not to grab the cord and swing it up to the ceiling and smash it against the table it was sitting on.
after more than a decade of psychotherapy i’m able to tell that that would have been “over-reacting”.
