Dear Photograph
Heard about this on NPR this morning, way cool. There’s the website and a book.

Impressive Urban Graffiti by street artist Fin DAC.
“In a short career, I have defined and perfected a paint style that ignores the accepted visual language of street art… I call it Urban Aesthetics - a modern-day take on the 19th century art movement.”
Truckloads of good art on his Tumblr site.

dividing my brain between business and art, between art and survival, between thinking like a flake-ass poet and thinking like a bad-ass business-person…forget about it, man, i’ve been doing it since day one.
and seriously..every artist has been dealing with this hilarious conundrum from the dawn of time.
I want a zombie wedding! More about Amanda Palmer on Wikipedia.

Not only did Travolta allegedly try to have sex with the masseur, but he is also said to have told the plaintiff — identified only as “John Doe” — that he “got where he is now due to sexual favors he had performed when he was in his ‘Welcome Back, Kotter’ days,” and that “Hollywood is controlled by homosexual Jewish men who expect favors in return for sexual activity.”
“Come on dude, I’ll jerk you off!”

It is vital that you stay in your homes… Unless you’re venturing out to Cascade Drive-In, Illinois’ largest outdoor cinema, where Filmspotting hosts Adam Kempenaar and Josh Larsen will be on hand to usher in a Zombie Apocalypse Double Feature! Don’t miss your chance to treat that delicious brain of yours to 2009’s smash hit Zombieland and Edgar Wright’s 2004 genre send-up Shaun of the Dead on the big screen.
Crossing my fingers there’s zombies roaming the parking lot.

I missed it, too. Why oh why would they have a zombie event of this epic proportion on a Thursday night? The children have school in the morning.

Touch is a basic human need. My go-to example for this is the post-Ceasecu situation in Romania’s orphanages. We need physical contact with each other. We need to touch and to be touched. Both sexual and non-sexual snuggles produce Oxytocin, which scientists say appears to stimulate bonding and might do things like help our bodies heal faster. I’m not a scientist, but I know anecdotally that skin-on-skin contact relaxes people. A good hug really does help. Laying around with each other like a pile of kittens is so delightful that Jess and I’s couch for years was an almost non-stop cuddle-puddle of whatever friends happened to be over at the time.
Touch is such a huge, magical part of who I am. And not necessarily in the sexual way, but just human contact for those I care about, those that I love. When the touch is gone, the bond feels gone.

Ever since I was a little boy, I’ve dreamed of owning my own droid just like Luke Skywalker in Star Wars. Granted, I also wanted to learn the ways of the Force, but I think having an Astromech droid will be slightly easier with the Droid Factory experience launching during Star Wars Weekends 2012. Fans will be able to build and name their own R-series Astromech droid action figures. I spoke with product developer Cody Hampton who said this experience was in development for three years!
I have a bad feeling about the mouse ears.

I have a friend* who is about to get a vasectomy, and it turns out, it’s a ridiculously involved process, presumably because of Religionists.
First, you have to get not one but two “mental health” exams, because the assumption is that if you are under 40, single, don’t have kids, and don’t want to have kids, you must be crazy.
Giggles abound in the video.
