I could see how that would be a minor embarrassment. I’ve never been a fan of staplers either. Well, the staplers are fine it’s the staples I don’t like.

I’m not going to stop using the period.

Stop. Using. Periods. Period.

The poor mom or dad doesn’t understand one of the cardinal rules of texting, which is that you don’t use periods, period. Not unless you want to come off as cold, angry or passive-aggressive.

I use periods all the time. 😞 Why? Because if I send a two sentence msg I don’t want the first to have a period and the second to not. The latter would then feel inferior.

Honestly, people are making too big of a deal out of this. I’ve read no less than four articles in the last six months urging me to stop using the period. If teens (or whoever) are reading that I’m cold because I use the period, they need to stop taking shit so personal.

While we’re killing the period, maybe we should redefine “literally” as an exasperation.

there are so many unwritten rules on how to behave and too goddam many fall under the heading of, “if you really want to be cool”. these are the same people i went to jr. high with and their mindset is still there.
