Back in 1978 I peeked in my mom and dad’s closet and found a bag of Christmas toys. My six year old self was delighted to see the Millennium Falcon tucked away along with some other things I don’t remember.
I thought about it often on the days leading up to Christmas. The morning came and my brothers, sister, and I were unwrapping… and then… I was devastated when I turned and saw my brother Shaun unwrapping the Falcon. It was for him, not me.
He’s on the far left opening the actual present while I’m opening an 18-wheeler. That couldn’t fly. And didn’t have laser cannons. And didn’t have a cockpit for Han and Chewie.
And that kids… is how you ruin your Christmas.

I feel like I should learn how to elegantly (or at least properly) wrap presents. Watch a YouTube video or something.
