These are my favorite photos I took this past week. They remind me of southern chickens having a tense yet formal argument.

Audio (MP3): 20201127 - Birds with piano
Video (MP4): 20201127 - Birds with piano
If you need to relax after your Black Friday, please enjoy a little piano and birds in my bird bath. Being November in Illinois the birds won’t get to do this much longer.

I’ve been getting 3 kinds of woodpeckers going to my feeder then bluejays, and cards. I could watch all day. 💯

I think the music I put together came out pretty well, and the video itself isn’t bad considering I shot it on my phone through the kitchen window while zooming in. 😊
And yay, your robin!

Maggie planted broccoli sprouts for us a couple of weeks back and we’ve been growing them on the kitchen table. I take scissors and give them a hair cut as needed and then (because nature is awesome) they grow back.
We put them on sandwiches mainly but I suppose one could throw them into anything that’ll have the little guys. Sometimes we just eat a handful but that’s not really delicious.
WebMD says one of the benefits of eating broccoli sprouts is that it’ll help with my schizophrenia… 😉🥦

There’s a pink grow light shining on them. Sometimes nature even needs a little boost.

You could toss the three together and have a nice cheesy broc tot salad for sure 👍

Pretty! What is that? Gallardia? I brought everything I could into the house and gave up on my balcony garden. The temp according to the PNM building was 103 but on my balcony the thermometer read 124. I gave up.

Actually, that might be a Venezuelan poodle moth, since domestic silk moths cannot fly on their own. Their antennae droop as well, they have no orange on their necks, and their abdomens are very swollen.

Even though it’s supposed to snow in Chicagoland tomorrow, that doesn’t mean we can’t “yay spring” today. Happy Friday, perps!
Update: we got the snow.

We only have to believe in the fairy tales from our imagination for them to be true.
Scour the earth for signs of hope. Life’s as magical as we want it to be.
