Actually, that might be a Venezuelan poodle moth, since domestic silk moths cannot fly on their own. Their antennae droop as well, they have no orange on their necks, and their abdomens are very swollen.
Gotcha! How would a guy from Venezuelan get to Illinois? I’m asking because I legit don’t know. 🤔
