I don’t know who the genius was that turned the heat down to 66°F last night but since I’m the only one home it surely wasn’t me.

One of my most absolute favorite places ❤️
This church is in St. Charles. About five years ago I was here every Tuesday at 8 pm.
Also got my 4 dollar circular saw at one of their annual rummage sales. 💪

I have churches and other basements like that. It’s a really cool photo, captures that vibe. Tuesday noc regulars will always remember their first basements.

Yep. Back in the early 90s I was at the Red Door setting up tables and coffee pots for months it felt like. And then you and I were there in the late 90s with Ron and Sandy every week. I don’t think I was ever in any part of that church other than the basement.

Audio (MP3): 20180123 - Why I never answer my cell phone
A few years back someone by the name of Floyd inadvertently gave my cell number to his insurance agent. And then that domino’ed into my number getting on every insurance company’s call list.
I’ve tried being nice to them, tried asking them to put me on their DO NOT call list. I’ve tried being mean, tried being funny, tried all sorts of things to get them to just stop. I even told them for a while that Floyd was dead and didn’t need insurance anymore.

Shown here is the tcr! shipping distribution hub of Illinois. Yep, I’m pretty low-tech here. December issue is going out to subscribers tonight along with some single issues from last month.
The current issue is by far my best work. It took me almost a year to find a groove with the designs and layouts but the photos are stellar and the writing superb. Of course.
If you send me your address, I may send you a free copy in the mail. Maybe. I don’t like commitments so keep that in mind.

An excellent #protip. I love when good stuff happens for my friends. ❤️
One time my friend texted me and she was like “I wasn’t sure if I should say anything about my good news because I know you’re having a tough time right now…” And I was like “never worry about that, I always want to hear your good news,” because actually it cheered me right up.

Yep. Once I had moved a couple steps above being a self-centered jerk, hearing another’s good news started to lift me up when I was down. Gave me just a little more hope and the like.
I’ve always heard that pride is a bad thing but I sure do take a lot of pride in what others around me are doing.

Yeah, I don’t know how/why the stars aligned in such an unprecedented way that night. Cat must’ve been too high on the nip.

A few more photos from our minor adventure.
While looking at the skull piece during the reception I offhandedly said, “I like the scissors.”
And then Maggie in her usual wit replied, “You should be an art critic. ‘I like the scissors.’ 🙄”
