I like that the video is all closeups. No band on stage kinda thing. Watch the musicians. They’re all totally into what they’re playing.
Plus, it’s got everything you need: whispering slide guitar, jumpy disco guitar, slippery plucked bass, just a kiss of horns, a singer born a poor black child, and a sentiment that everybody knows:
We could’ve got so high.

He’s down at SIU this weekend. My youngest son is in the aviation program there and they watched a C 13 fly in carrying a chopper in preparation for him and starting today at 3pm they issued a no fly order. Tickets are free to see him speak but he took a hard pass on that one 😂
