Me: Maybe Trump will rise to the challenge of becoming president now that enough people believe in him. People can change for the better. I mean I haven’t stolen a wheelchair since I was 19.
Maggie: Wait, you were 19? Sometimes you think you know your parents.

I’m not a politician so I don’t play politics from the couch. We elect politicians so they can handle that stuff, just like judges or mayors, etc. I’m not a doctor so I don’t pretend to practice medicine kinda thing.
What I do know and make decisions on is who people are, what public image they present.
My point is… Politics aside, Trump is no one I could ever admire for simply being a good person. He’s a horrible person. He regularly says mean spirited things.
Those who voted for Trump should be ashamed of themselves. He publicly made fun of someone with disabilities — that’s not even a joke I would make in private and I make some pretty bad jokes.
And this Trump offense is one of literally hundreds. Regardless of where he stands on global warming or immigration, he lacks fundamental compassion.
Electing (let alone supporting) someone without basic human decency is pathetic. You’ve just said that who Trump is as a person is okay.
