Hell Triangle - Three views of final punishment

hell triangle the three views of final punishment

Below are my Facebook comments on the Hell Triangle.

Me: I definitely want the lower left corner of this hell triangle. Purple and orange have always worked well together. And the bottom right orange and red — they should’ve used that color scheme for the Traditionalists. And then we have the top yellow hell, what the hell is that? There’s no yellow-brown hell color palette.

GP: No coincidence! That is part of what makes the chart so great. Those brownish-yellowish guys hardly even believe in hell. Another part is that the worst kind of hell (the traditionalist hell) has the most hellish color scheme.

Me: The universalists’ yellow-brown hell reminds me of a boy scouts flier for some reason. But that makes sense now that you’ve learned me that they hardly even believe in hell. They’re just chilling up there, doing their own hell-a thing.

I looked for the original article on rethinkinghell.com but came up empty.

the jesus fever is coming out in the DSM VI.
characterized by an all consuming fear that somewhere, someone is having a good time. the only relief for the afflicted is a kind of self-hypnosis where the suffering tell themselves that if “fun” truly exists, it can be interferred with now, or punished later.

“God is also depicted as the architect of the universe, meaning He set up the system in which most people end up in Hell” — it’s a loose lose kinda game.

“somewhere, someone is having a good time” — and to HELL WITH THEM.

Jonathan Livingston Seagull - Wikipedia

The book tells the story of Jonathan Livingston Seagull, a seagull who is bored with the daily squabbles over food. Seized by a passion for flight, he pushes himself, learning everything he can about flying, until finally his unwillingness to conform results in his expulsion from his flock. An outcast, he continues to learn, becoming increasingly pleased with his abilities as he leads a peaceful and happy life.

This novella was on my regular re-reading list for years. I may have read it over twenty times, it’s an easy read.

Pretty much anything Bach wrote was good. Well, I could never get into the Messiah’s Handbook. I guess I’m not a messiah.

Don’t watch the movie, though. EVER.

Looks like a fourth part was added to the story in 2014. That’s surprising as I figured the story didn’t need much more added.

I’ll prob never go near the fourth part.

This reminds me all too much of Lucas going in and fiddling with Star Wars decades later.

freezing rain and the little trucks got no heat

Freezing rain and the little truck’s got no heat. But I got a little peep hole, can go forward, backward, turn left and right… And Joan Jett is singing to me on the radio. She wants me to put another dime in the jukebox. Baby. I’m gonna take my time and go and dance with her.

Sometimes we put them on in the background at home while playing board games. I think Netflix has the whole series.

The Top-Secret Food That Will Change the Way You Eat

The Top-Secret Food That Will Change the Way You Eat

More protein than beef. More omegas than salmon. Tons of calcium, antioxidants, and vitamin B. In their secret R&D lab, the scientists at Beyond Meat concocted a plant-protein-based performance burger that delivers the juicy flavor and texture of the real thing with none of the dietary and environmental downsides.

Some days when I get home from driving my desk, on the days when my eyes feel cross-eyed from too much computer, all I wanna do is watch TV. Of all the things.

But I don’t because my eyes really do hurt and feel like any minute they’ll roll back behind my brains and then how would I see?

So I lay on the bed and try to tune out the every things because I feel like have nothing in my pocket.

And then the cat wants loving but I only have a kick for her head because she doesn’t take me seriously when I repeatedly say “no.”

And then I start to drift off to nap but am absurdly bounced back to reality with the dream of Obama hog tied by Biden not the one I was after. And even though it was consensual, I still felt it too racial.

And then with nowhere to turn because Maggie’s not ready for our next adventure and that cat’s still sulking, I write this all down and share with you fine folk.

Accepance is key. What I resist persists. 2 allow ev thing 2 b as it is, including myselfw& 2 b ok with it can b problematic 4 a chronic ‘fixer’ like me. Ol jimmy told me several x’s, being relatively happy most of the x is about as good as it gets. Figure that pretty close.

Mostly happy, most of the time. Most of us would think that was a pretty good deal. Once we started in with the medicines, we wanted to be ecstatically happy all the time. After awhile, little setbacks became major traumas. We had no frame of reference for a big deal.
Q: Can’t find the remote?
A: Suicide.
Problem: Car won’t start.
Answer: Homocide.

I love those extremist (and near-truthful) examples.
