Peeps, winding down my Joan Jett week with my goddamn fast car favorite. The video is from The Runaways movie that never was.
“Although the Runaways broke up in the spring of 1979, filming went ahead that summer with Joan Jett and three actresses playing the band.”
Alas, if you need a Joan Jett movie for the weekend, don’t forget about her and Michael J. Fox in Light of Day from way back in 1987.
Wikipedia told me the movie was written and directed by Paul Schrader, same guy who wrote the screenplay for Taxi Driver.

Peeps, speaking of Joan Jett here’s your dont-hardly-know-her Thursday jam.
How can you not love her with her total Mad Max crazy leather look? She’s got that somewhere-else look in the closeup around 30 seconds in, almost like she’s sinisterly in love.
Kindas reminds me of Priz from Blade Runner…
…or Furiosa from Fury Road.
Well, I guess none of them look similar but whatever, eyeballs make me nutty.

I love Joan too. I’ve known her birth name for forever and I forgot this nugget until now. The article on Wik is interesting enough.

Nice.. I spent a fair amount of time clicking the Wiki articles for her and The Runaways, too. I think I was in love with her for about four hours yesterday after watching the Crimson video on infinite loop. I like her short blonde hair better than the 80s black poof.
