The world goes mad Summer 2015. https://www.facebook.com/MadMaxMovie From director George Miller, originator of the post-apocalyptic genre and mastermind beh…
I’m not sure if this is another re-imaging or just a continuation but they better not fuck it up.
The Mad Max trilogy was almost as much a part of my childhood as Star Wars and Friday the 13th. Bonus points for me: I’m the same age as the actor who played the Feral Kid with the boomerang in the second movie.
I did enjoy the music throughout the trailer but I have a bad feeling this will be one big CGI car chase.
Update: Wikipedia is calling it a remake.

We all know television is bound to enter a new era sooner or later. Heck, I’ve written dozens of columns on the subject over my 17 years in this job. But this is the first time I feel confident in saying when this TV transition will take place. It already has. Forces are already in motion that will completely transform TV over the next 24 months. Come back two years from today and it will all be different with at least a few new leaders and a few icons gone bust. Get ready for TV 3.0.
Seriously… We watch everything on Apple TV or over AirPlay with the exception of the something like the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The latter comes over the air via HDTV.

A not-so-famous baker once said to me, “Even if you do like cake, don’t go working in a bakery unless you wanna fuck around with cakes for the rest of your life.”

This misreading of the actual fall of the wall is, at best, incomplete; at worst, it’s dangerous, contributing to the belief that American leaders can go “from Berlin to Baghdad,” shaping world events while ignoring the complex realities of the locals.
In truth, the opening of the Berlin Wall on the night of Nov. 9, 1989, was not planned. Well into that year, East Germany remained nearly inescapable: The last killing by a guard at the wall occurred in February 1989; the last shooting, a very near miss, in April; the last death during an escape attempt on the larger East German border, only 10 days earlier.
So what happened to make this heavily armed border open literally overnight? The answer lies in a series of mistakes by East German officials. These errors threw off dangerous sparks into the tense atmosphere of autumn 1989, already supercharged by the conflict between the rise of an East German resistance movement and the collapse of the ruling regime.

i’ve heard this rumored for years. i don’t have the bad feeling. if it is what you fear, they are guilty and must be punished.
