Michonne From the Walking Dead Loves Andrea

Michonne From the Walking Dead Loves Andrea

It may not look like it from the photo above but she does.

In related Walking Dead news, why did Glenn dig a grave for Carol so soon?

Rule of thumb: during zombacolypse don’t count out your “family” in less than 24 hours if there’s no body. I understand they lost a third of their group and he’s distraught, but c’mon.

And if Lori is the one calling Rick on that black phone, I’m gonna punch the writers.

When Pain Feels Normal

Audio (MP3): 20121112 - When Pain Feels Normal

It’s very unfortunately when pain feels normal, when dysfunction is routine, and agony okay. Absorb the truth that all are unacceptable.

When we open the curtains that shadow our fireflies, let their light glow alongside infinite others, no pain is too great to release. And by doing so, someday soon the well of miserable sadness will go dry.

Big Bunny and Big Bear

Sometimes we’re ready to move on.
Sometimes we’re not.
Sometimes we’re past due.

Drop out of lightspeed when the jump is over.

Halloween 2012 Pumpkins Starting to Rot

Big Mike's 2 Cents: Webcomic Recommendations

Big Mike’s 2 Cents: Webcomic Recommendations

These webcomics have my unqualified hearty recommendation. There’s enough quality content here to tide you over until Season 2 of False Positive starts.

Looking for webcomics to add to your regularly reading? Look no further than the man who does the False Positive comic himself.

PS.. Spacegirl is quite good.

15 Behind-the-Scenes Secrets of Wreck-It Ralph - Mental Floss

15 Behind-the-Scenes Secrets of Wreck-It Ralph - Mental Floss

As a Disney geek and former Nintendo addict, I was fired up for Wreck-It Ralph when I heard about it at the D23 Convention last year. Here are 15 facts about the movie that will get you just as pumped as I am, whether you were the world’s best “Tapper” bartender or consider yourself more of a “Dance Dance Revolution” phenom.

Always good to learn that actors are recording their lines together instead of separately.

Stunning Photos of New York’s Sandy Blackout

More Images From New York’s Sandy Cover

As we considered the different opportunities for imagery on Wednesday, it quickly became clear that one option was a picture of the island of Manhattan taken from the air, showing the clear delineation of lights on and off in different parts of the city. We called Iwan Baan, one of our contributing photographers, to see if he happened to be in New York at the moment. (He is based out of Amsterdam, but travels the world, and often stops by New York.) Baan’s photography focuses primarily on contemporary architecture and its relationship to the urban language of the city. He shoots from every possible perspective, including high up in the air from planes and helicopters. “That view of Manhattan, I had it in mind because I’d shot it a number of times before,” he said on Monday from Haiti, where he’s already on another international assignment.

New York Magazine — always a good read.
