I ate a bunch crap yesterday at Great America and today I told myself I’d eat healthy.
So I went into the kitchen for a snack and now I’m like “OH, HELL YEAH!”

It’s painfully easy to tell you that I should have made the other choice. It’s easy because it suits my aspirations now, but more so because I really have learned, by looking within myself for a very long time, that this is the work I’m meant to do.
It’s a long read but good.

Both good reads. I’ve played the “what if” game many times. Have to agree I wouldn’t be here if I’d switched tracks. All I know is, it’s good now and that suits my aspirations now.

goodam i loved that mofo. funny thing is, in those days i didn’t appreciate or maybe notice that i was watchin’ a classic.
nowadays, i know it when i see it. very recent memory is Fury Road, of course. also was Grand Budapest and Birdman. also was PSH’s last movie that i knew he was the star of: “A Most Wanted Man”. i don’t know how this works, but i think it wasn’t mentioned at the Oscar’s because it’s a Brit movie. it won some kind of BAFTA award, i’m sure.

I stumbled on this guy’s reviews not long back and when I found Prometheus EXPLAINED - Movie Review (SPOILERS).
As I grew older, my love for movies turned into a love for the art of film. I began to examine them, thinking about the director, the writer, the cinematographer. I tried to get inside their headspace, and discover why they made the film they did. I become entranced with film criticism, writing brief reviews from the age of 14.

Ya, you wouldn’t want to eat that little black orb. I don’t know if this variety of nightshade is poisonous so we don’t take any chances. :D

Yep, I take two or three stems inside and put them on tators or scrambled eggs.

the stem looks like what i know as chives. what about the flower? do they render or mix or is it not food?

It’s usually considered best to eat chives before they get flowers, when they look more like grass. They’re more tender then. But as far as I know the flowers are edible too.

Are you saying my chives don’t look like grass?

Nope. I would never talk smack about a man’s chives.

saw something about Gavin McInnes. there were some interesting quotes, including the irrepressible, “politically active in the Batman community”.

people who’ve known me a long time remember me co-opting the phrase, “Wendy, I’m home.” I just loved it. It became a catch phrase in my personal vernacular. The way he said it like she was supposed to be happy about it. As he’s chopping down the door. BIG SMILE. I’ve under reported my sharing Frank’s feelings for this classic. I read the book as an adult and it creeped me out. In retrospect, it’s about alcoholism and it’s co-conspiracies. The soundtrack, especially at the beginning, is the definition of eerie music. I understand that SK did not appreciate the Kubrick feel for the movie but I have to disagree. I read the book first and when the movie came out it was exactly as I’d pictured. RED RUM!!!
