Peeps, here’s your wish-i-could-just-hear-you-talk jam for today.

I’m not a huge fan of the video but it’s the (air quotes) “official” one. The video is cool and all, just doesn’t convery the lyrics visually to me. This song in particular has one of my favorite love song lines, EVER:

“The shortest distance between two points is the line from me to you.”

Maybe the line is emotionaly amplified to me because I love Swan’s voice, even more so with that eerie, strained auto-tune.

Peeps, so I had a dream last that Tommy Shaw and I were hanging out on the stage in this video. He was trying to teach me the main guitar riff that kicks in about 2:30.

I’m like, “Dude that’s easy. But seriously, you need to button up your white jumpsuit if we’re gonna hang out. You’re pretty and all but you’re from the 70s. Sweet outro solo though, your guitar tone is screaming.”

Ok, that’s not exactly what I said in my dream but that’s what I was thinking just now watching the video again. I love the song, too. One of the few albums I had way back when.

A gathering of Angels appeared above my head. They sang to me this song of hope and this is what they said…

You all know the chorus of course.
