The team spotted this Stubby Squid off the coast of California at a depth of 900 meters (2,950 feet). The stubby squid (Rossia pacifica) looks like a cross between an octopus and squid, but is more closely related to cuttlefish. This species spends life on the seafloor, activating a sticky mucus jacket and burrowing into the sediment to camouflage, leaving their eyes poking out to spot prey like shrimp and small fish.

In this latest sneak peek, there are a few surprises to take in, including additional dialogue that reveals a pretty big Star Wars secret. How did the Rebels get their hands on the info about the upcoming Death Star weapons test? Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly) reveals they received an encoded Imperial transmission. What is more important is that Diego Luna’s character Cassian Andor confirms that it was sent by Jyn Erso’s father, who is being played by Mads Mikkelsen. We still have yet to see Galen Erso in any footage, but this is the first mention of his character, and the fact that he sent the transmission is significant.

Here’s the Wonder Woman Comic Con trailer because I thought I posted it and didn’t. This movie will be far better than Batman vs. Superman. The guitar that kicks in around 2:17… all I can say is YES.
Well, from where I’m from that’s called slavery.
Release date of Summer 2017… all I can say is 🙄😉

I just told somebody at the City of Geneva office that one of their city ordinances is ridiculous. Not my finest hour but that’s what happens when they want me to pay a deposit on a water bill account I’ve had for the last eight years.

I know about “not my finest hour”. Whenever I encounter Bureaucracy I am reminded that Hitler and company were eyeball deep in bureaucracy. It comes up for me due to working in health care.
This is by W. B. Yeats:
Sailing to Byzantium
That is no country for old men. The young
In one another’s arms, birds in the trees
– Those dying generations – at their song,
The salmon‐falls, the mackerel‐crowded seas,
Fish, flesh, or fowl, commend all summer long
Whatever is begotten, born, and dies.
Caught in that sensual music all neglect
Monuments of unageing intellect.
An aged man is but a paltry thing,
A tattered coat upon a stick, unless
Soul clap its hands and sing, and louder sing
For every tatter in its mortal dress,
Nor is there singing school but studying
Monuments of its own magnificence;
And therefore I have sailed the seas and come
To the holy city of Byzantium.
O sages standing in God’s holy fire
As in the gold mosaic of a wall,
Come from the holy fire, perne in a gyre,
And be the singing‐masters of my soul.
Consume my heart away; sick with desire
And fastened to a dying animal
It knows not what it is; and gather me
Into the artifice of eternity.
Once out of nature I shall never take
My bodily form from any natural thing,
But such a form as Grecian goldsmiths make
Of hammered gold and gold enamelling
To keep a drowsy Emperor awake;
Or set upon a golden bough to sing
To lords and ladies of Byzantium
Of what is past, or passing, or to come.

They were pretty good! Tasted like carrot. The only downside was that if I peeled them they lost all their purple magic.

wash gently. no peeling necessary. speaking of peeling, mason verger remains unaccounted for. i might be compulsively obsessed with this topic.

I’ve only seen Hannibal once. I should revisit for clues to Mason’s remains.

Cat has left this rubber snake by my bed so many times that when I step on something squishy in the middle of the night, it no longer phases me.
