The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has come under unprecedented threat in recent weeks. Republicans have gone so far as to introduce a bill that would eliminate the EPA entirely. But people are pushing back. And after individual efforts to backup the website, along with plenty of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, the EPA just posted a snapshot of the site as it existed on January 19, 2017, the day before Trump was sworn in.

Peeps, here’s your you-darken-my-door Tom Petty Thursday jam, take two.
The original inspiration was a romantic encounter that producer David A. Stewart of Eurythmics had with Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac. On The Howard Stern Show, Stewart explained that the title’s phrase was actually uttered by Nicks. She had broken up with Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh the night before, and invited Stewart to her place for a party after an early Eurythmics show in Los Angeles. Stewart did not know who she was at the time, but went anyway. When the partygoers all disappeared to a bathroom for a couple of hours to snort cocaine, he decided to go upstairs to bed. He woke up at 5am to find Nicks in his room trying on Victorian clothing and described the entire scenario as very much reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland. Later that morning, she told Walsh, “Don’t come around here no more.”
Don’t miss the pink flamingos around 1:16.

Peeps, here’s your we-dont-talk-too-much-about-it Tom Petty Thursday jam.
Watch his face, he’s totally into it. Especially around 1:38 when he does the little hair flip and then again at 2:05 when he’s swings around the basement pillar.
Who knows, maybe you were kidnapped, tied-up, taken away, and held for ransom.

(CNN) — Those who knew Mike Ilitch, the Little Caesars founder and Detroit Tigers owner who died last Friday, have spent the past few days fondly remembering his impact on friends, on Detroit residents, and on the sports community.
Ilitch also had an impact on the daily life of one of the most iconic figures from the civil rights movement.
For more than a decade, Ilitch had quietly paid for Rosa Parks’ apartment in downtown Detroit, according to CNN affiliate WXYZ.
That story came to light thanks to Damon Keith, a Detroit native and federal judge.
“They don’t go around saying it, but I want to, at this point, let them know, how much the Ilitches not only meant to the city, but they meant so much for Rosa Parks, who was the mother of the civil rights movement,” Keith told WXYZ.
See, this is some early morning news… ❤️

So I’m driving to work a few minutes ago and I turn on NPR. The first thing I hear is “…and so the North Korean regime.” 🙄
For the sanity of our people, can’t we talk about something fun in the morning? Like pancakes?

I think the big question right now is whether or not I should put my shoes back on before I walk down the hall to the restroom 🤔
