Peeps, here’s your this-boys-had-enough 80s Tuesday jam. I last posted about Fastway and the Trick or Treat soundtrack back in Feb 2016 and they’re still in my regular rotation. Plus, Edward was my hero in high school.
Amazon’s got the DVD but in later reissues, Gene Simons and Ozzy Osbourne (who both only had cameos) ended up the cover. 🙄
Bonus points:
• Fastway was started by the late Eddie Clark of Motörhead fame. Yep, that’s him playing guitar on Ace of Spades. Listen to the guitar on Get Tough, you’ll hear Clark ripping it up. Pretty much all the guitar riffs on the soundtrack are killer.
• Clark also recruited Dave King of later Flogging Molly fame to sing for Fastway. Yeah, man. 🤘

I feel your pain. I have the TV on with the sound off (listening to Black Sabbath, on a whim). One channel says it’s called “Beat Shazam” and the other channel says it’s “America’s Got Talent”, but I swear it’s the same godd*m thing on every channel.
