Whew…
The survey was actually pretty easy to take. And I’m not being ironic.

HOLLYWOOD – Ron Perlman has confirmed he will play Tom Waits in the long awaited David Lynch biopic of the singer/songwriter Raindog Trombone.
The Hellboy actor said that Waits has long been a hero of his and the opportunity to work with Lynch was ‘something every actor dreams of.’
The script – based on Barney Hoskins’ biography The Low Side of the Road - has been kicking around development hell for sometime, with various directors from Walter Salles to Martin Scorsese attached. Lynch came on-board only after the subject of the biopic made the request himself in a beautifully written letter which read:
Dear David,
My name’s Tom Waits. I kinda hope you heard of me, heh heh. Yeah, ahem, I know, I know. You must get letters of this kind all the time, but let me be clear, I ain’t gonna grouse or grovel, gravel and chickens and an ol’ 45 as a plate outside the window fills with rain. They’re tryin’ to get a movie made, of crows breaking black against a low November sky. And I’d sure appreciate it, that is, if’n you’d put your hand to the helm and try and get this rickety ol’ ship of a project off of the blunt rocks before the scarecrows attack with their penknives and tattoos of weeping clowns. I’ll pay you five gallons of petrol and a valentine nailed to the forehead of the last lawyer you loved.
Yours in a nightmare’s gown,
T. Waits
I love everything about that letter.

Now that this workday is over, I suppose I’ll make sure the bed didn’t get lumpy while I was away.

Selling a slightly used Imperial II-class Star Destroyer.
Previously owned by a navigator of a spice freighter, this vessel has been sitting on my moisture farm and needs to be removed before next year’s harvest.
1,600 meters in length this bad boy has a maximum atmospheric speed of 975 km/h and an acceleration of >2,300 g. It’s got a Class 2 hyper-drive system still in working order with a backup Class 8. SFS I-a2b solar ionization reactor is in good to excellent shape. KDY Destroyer-I ion engine turns over on the first try but may need a new serpentine belt.
As you can see by the picture provided, the deflector shield generator domes are intact. That is a state of the art ISD-72x.
Fully equipped with LeGrange targeting computers, heavy ion cannons, Phylon Q7 tractor beam projectors, leather bucket seats, and a 15 disc cd changer.
36,000 tons of cargo capacity, this beauty was ran with a crew of 37,085 but you can pull it off with a minimum of 5,000 leaving you plenty of room to pack in a few extra AT-AT walkers, TIE starfighters, prefabricated garrison bases, Lambda-class shuttles, and jet skis.
This superstructure is perfect for long road trips with the family, discovering new galaxies, picking up girls for dates, and general destruction of your enemies. Have you ever seen what a Star Destroyer can do to the surface of an unshielded planet? Stones run like water and sand turns to glass.
Brand new this beauty of the skies runs at about 145,670,000 credits, but do to some carbon scoring I can be flexible on the price. Realistically, I just need it removed from my property, so all offers or trades will be considered. Make me an offer, no mind tricks.
First come, first serve basis. You are responsible for towing.
I copied the whole thing before Disney yanks it for copyright infringement or something.

1:35 A.M. A Tuesday
Ernie Booth, the operations manager of the main printing plant of The New York Times, is walking the floor. The plant is a 515,000-square-foot building in Queens, on the Van Wyck Expressway, half a mile from LaGuardia Airport. Booth is a big man with enthusiasm to match his heft, and tonight he’s wearing a collared shirt, sweater, and chinos in various shades of beige. He glides through the place like a small-town mayor, jabbing the noisy air with quick chin nods, offering ritual greetings to some of the 350 employees who work here each night.
“What’s happening, Tom?”
“Hey, Andy.”
“All quiet, Dennis?”
Dennis Díaz, a coordinator in the control room, responds that one section of the plant’s fourteen miles of conveyor belts is not working.
Booth draws a breath and scans the control room, a glass-walled office he compares to an indoor air traffic control tower, overlooking the floor. “You see all these flashing things?” he says, pointing to one of several screens displaying different parts of the plant. “Flashing things are bad. Flashing things mean we have a problem.” He appears to have a lot of problems at the moment. But this night is not much different from most, and Booth’s only real complaint as he circulates the floor is that he’d rather be on his wheels: The plant is so large that many employees travel from one area to another on adult-size tricycles. (Booth has a trike and a golf cart.) During daylight hours, when the plant isn’t in use, the Times sometimes rents it out—in the most recent Jason Bourne movie, it stood in as a crowded factory in the Philippines.

Rooibos tea (hot) + light agave (smidge) + 2% milk (splash) = the best thing you’ll have tonight.

I didn’t really like the “You’re happy liking what everybody else likes because mainstream things…” line. I like what I like and if that’s mainstream, so be it.
Maybe I’m just being defiantly smug.
