Personally, I’m an optimist. I believe the unicorns give a shit about my problems.
This whole thing was something I never questioned, UNTIL NOW!

So, as most who know me know, I got to art school. This semester I focused on making artist books. The first was this little bird, and the second was this box I call Heirloom. I mostly just call it a box.
When I say “a Unicorn Something” I don’t mean to sound negative. I like it.

Archaeologists of the History Institute of the DPRK Academy of Social Sciences have recently reconfirmed a lair of the unicorn rode by King Tongmyong, founder of the Koguryo Kingdom,” reports the — wait. Stop. UNICORNS? That’s an actual snippet from a report from the Korean Central News Agency[…]
Those guys got everything.

Unicorns are great. Seriously.
And here I’m going to think out loud and think of them in a conventional biology sort of way. You know – have a little fun evolution wise.
In many respects (except for the magical powers bit) I don’t think this is necessarily too hard to do. i.e. you have something that looks like a horse, but hey what’s this – there’s also a horn there.
I guess the question I’m pondering is whether a unicorn could occur from a realistic evolutionary biology point of view – you know, given the right circumstances and the right timescale. And if so, exactly what sort of things, biologically and genetically, would need to happen?
Remember kids, “biology” is the topic, not fantasy-magical-whimsy.

Magically Delicious! Unicorns may manage their elusiveness but they left behind some fanciful evidence of their existence and I was able to recreate their leavings.
I keep thinking it’s a cup cake with rainbow frosting.

I truly need a Cornify button for my email client. That would make my work orders all the more merrier.

That would definitely improve the emails that come from our corporate office. As it is, I have to go and cornify our company website instead. The President's Message was greatly improved when it became the Lovely President's Message.
