Guys, I just saw a dude on Riverside across from Mount Saint Mary Park honking at a hostile goose from safely inside his white SUV.
Does this one-note sound tactic work when dealing with the STC geese?
I’m looking for speculation here not hard facts or statistics.

I think it is illegal to harass Canadian geese. They are a protected species. Maybe even a fine if caught!

Is horning them considered harassment? 🤔

You get out of your car and yell world star. The same as with anything else that’s about to kick your ass.

Just drive on. Very slowly. You aren’t going to run them over and they know that. But they pick up the pace. And mysteriously move their butts across the street.

Nope. Just pissed them off more. I usually try to never pass between them and the river and never NEVER come between them and their babies.

They get really mean, and will come at you!

Did I ever tell you guys about the time I saw my neighbor, Alberta, choking a Canadian Goose by our shared retention pond?
Yep, back on October 19th, 2016 she was over there feeding them and one of the goose got a little selfish I guess. So then Alberta grabbed said selfish goose up with her bare hands and strangled it silly for about six seconds. Like she was Michael Myers on Halloween and the goose was his sister.
I hid behind my bushes lest Alberta turn her chokers on me, but a cuppa hours later I made and hung up a sign on the street light by the pond. Being on the wiser side, I snapped a photo promptly thereafter. Within a cuppa more hours Alberta was out there ripping the sign down with the very hands that had choked that goose.
This is a true story. Except Alberta’s an alias.

BTW, he’s a lieutenant in the Geese Police. Anything you say can and will be held against you.
