Disney’s horrific gaze interactions

tcr! · Nov 2, 2020 at 12:19 pm

If this isn’t the creepiest thing I don’t know what is. I seriously thought it was a person behind those ominously delightful blue eyes. Disney horror for the win.

Disney could have at least put a mask or something else over the robot’s mouth. Watching this feels like flirting with a terminator.

Netflix is losing the Disney movies

tcr! · Sep 9, 2017 at 8:31 am

Disney is pulling Star Wars and Marvel films from Netflix

Disney is pulling Star Wars and Marvel films from Netflix

If you want access to the full catalog of films from the Star Wars franchise or the Marvel universe after 2019, you’ll need to sign up for Disney’s forthcoming streaming service, Disney CEO Bob Iger announced on Thursday.

Last year, Netflix began streaming a wide range of Disney titles, including Disney animated films and films from Disney’s Pixar, Lucasfilm, and Marvel divisions. Last month, Disney announced that it would be pulling a number of Disney titles from the Netflix catalog.

This is pretty dumb. I’m not gonna pay Disney a monthly fee to watch Star Wars and any Marvel movies just like I’m not gonna pay CBS to watch Star Trek Discovery.

With all these companies wanting a monthly fee to stream their shows I’d be back up to paying what I used to for cable.

I like paying for what I watch and Disney has a whole theme park full of load of shit I’m not interested in.

Frozen is really Disney’s version of The Shining

tcr! · Dec 18, 2014 at 3:11 pm

Frozen is just Disney's The Shining

“Frozen” is just Disney’s “The Shining”

Exhibit A: Elsa and Jack

Let’s talk about a movie in which the menacing main character is a danger to family members, whose volatility increases after a long isolation inside a giant, ornate, high-ceilinged building in a cold, desolate landscape. Perhaps the acquisition of a brand new leadership position set off an unraveling this character cannot control.

It’s uncanny how much The Shining comes up in my daily life.

The book has a chapter that begins with “Officious little prick.” It was used in a writing class I was in. I loved The Shining.
In other news, the power of flight has been granted me.

First sentence, Chapter One:
Jack Torrance thought: Officious little prick.

I didn’t remember where it was located and the whole sentence.

“Officious” fits a man I know to the letter now that I’ve looked up the official definition.

Jack was the hero of the story. Very few people realize such.
