What kind of parallel/culinary universe have I landed it??

Wall, a 30-year-old freelance journalist who was researching a story on Madsen, went missing after he took her out to sea in his 17-metre (56-foot) submarine on Aug. 10.
On Aug. 23, police identified a headless female torso that washed ashore in Copenhagen as Wall‘s. The cause of her death has not been determined.
In court, Madsen denied having amputated her limbs and said he dropped her “whole” body into the water, several hours after her death, after having a sleep because he was “tired and exhausted”.
I’ve been following this story since it broke as I’ve always liked submarines and also a classic real-life who-done-its.
First he said he didn’t know what happened to her as he’d drop her off at shore. Now that they’ve found literally only her body, he’s changed his story. But the interesting thing about this latest development is that he said the latch accidentally conked her on the head and left her lying dead in a pool of blood. And then several hours later after his nap he tosses her whole body overboard.
So her dead body’s laying in a puddle of blood not far from where he accidentally killed her. Then he decides to rest because he was “tired and exhausted” before making his next move. Seems reasonable.

After I’d been sober for a number of years I relapsed. It wasn’t something that I thought was gonna happen. And also, it didn’t “just happen” either.
So with that being said I feel qualified, I feel confident, I feel like I’m able to talk about relapse overall. I have experience with it.
I didn’t have any deep, dark, dank secrets. I didn’t hold anything back when writing my Fourth Step and I didn’t hold anything back when sharing my Fifth Step. I made all of the amends on my Eighth Step list. I was more spiritual than I’d ever been my whole life.
So why did I relapse?

Because he has enlightenment as his aim, a bodhisattva-mahฤsattva is so called.
I still have Walter Becker on my mind but I was very struck by your comments, as usual. “Bodhisattva” is of course a rockin’ lil’ number by Steely Dan.
In other news, I feel like I’ve said these things before. I’m not thinking plagiarism, just that you are so completely in tune with things I’ve thought for a long time.
I am super-qualified on relapse.

I don’t expect I’ll ever really understand this, but the way you write about it always just sounds so honest that it makes it more ok for me to talk about the stuff I have issues with.

Somewhere in one of my recovery books it says something along the lines of, “when sharing our pain if it helps just one person with their pain then it was worth it.”
I’m happy that my sharing is helping with your sharing ๐

I still have to print things out to proofread otherwise I miss the inevitable typos from spouting off at the hip.
