boughten is perfectly acceptable hillbilly patois. i like saying hillbilly patois. i cultivated more proper english in my adulthood and i go back home and before the day is out i done boughten into the whole shebang.

Use contractions when you write. Make it read like you talk. “It’s good” vs “It is good” — the first is better.
