I feel like these construction barricades from the other night were publicly plotting to overthrow the neighborhood.

What with their flashing chatter and all, they were definitely planning something preposterously nefarious.

I’m glad they’re redoing this building on the corner of Prairie St. and Second in St. Charles. The stucco look never appealed to me.

Plus, I was always worried that I’d be merrily walking one day, trip over some unseen obstacle, and wildly tumble into the building. Then I’d come away with a nasty abrasion on my right shoulder.

We popped into the Scarecrow Fest in St. Charles for just a minute but it was rainy, rainy. Almost nobody was there. But these guys!

Also spotted this alleyway. The open chainlink fence door was, as you say, inviting.
