Capone house for sale in St. Charles

tcr! · Jan 28, 2018 at 4:06 pm

Rumor has it this was one of Al Capone’s houses. It’s for sale and there was an open house today so I thought I’d have a look for secret rooms. Because I’m me, these are the things I took pictures of.

1- Capone house - front 2- Capone house - toilet 3- Capone house - sump pump 4- Capone house - boiler supply

I didn’t find any escape tunnels but there were gobs of people so I couldn’t be thorough. It did have a safe house apartment above the garage though.

5- Capone house - garage apartment

Address is 1835 S. Fourth Place, St. Charles, Illinois if you’re interested.

My friend Marvin did an open house there a couple months back and I stopped by. Totally cool place! I wish I could afford it!

It’s a phenomenal home with such a rich history! We just need the new owners to stop by….. Once the right people see it, they’ll realize how lucky they are!!!

Thanks for posting. This is our home. We love it and can’t wait for someone else to make it their forever home. There is a lot of charm and history in that home.

If I’d have known you as the owner were gonna stop by my post, I would’ve taken some better pictures. But ya never know, maybe the “boiler supply” photo will be good for marketing.

I have my house’s blueprints but alas no secret rooms.

I bet there’s a record at some county level or maybe we can find info at the Geneva historical society downtown (maybe). Let’s sleuth it!

Ah.. That’s a good thought. I can’t go into the Geneva Historical Society anymore though. Something about one of their displays being hands off. I thought it was an interactive piece. But noooo.
