Well, I’m not dumb but I can’t understand why she walks like a woman and talks like a man. Oh my Lola.

Peeps, let’s get this Monday started with an all-of-the-time jam. The lyrics are all adorable infatuation when I listen.
I love that the song carries the same basic guitar riff in the chorus but the rest of the band just ramps it up a notch. Too many songs have their killer riff in the verse and then the chorus riff drops out like when the Blues Brothers threw a rod. Nothing wrong with using the chord progression throughout the whole song. See also: Sanctified by NIN.
Dave Davies’ guitar solo sounds like he’s got so much teenage testosterone/tension that he’s about to explode.

PS- The only cover version I’ve heard that I liked was by the Scorpions of course.

Dave Davies had some angst OK. It’s a soap opera. I’m not judging, but he was…indiscriminate.

We’ve been listening to the Raincoats version a lot lately. Good car music.
