Laceration hazard via metal rod

Guys, laceration hazard at the Starbucks on Randall Road. Personally, I’ve never seen a broken plunger knob but apparently it’s a real thing if you work the rod too hard or something. 🤕

Raw dough is out says CDC

tcr! · Dec 11, 2018 at 8:02 am

no raw dough

Say No to Raw Dough!

There are many special occasions through the year that are perfect to spend time with loved ones while preparing delicious baked foods in the kitchen. Follow these safety tips to help you and your loved ones stay healthy when handling raw dough.

When you prepare homemade cookie dough, cake mixes, or even bread, you may be tempted to taste a bite before it is fully cooked. But steer clear of this temptation—eating or tasting unbaked products that are intended to be cooked, such as dough or batter, can make you sick. Children can get sick from handling or eating raw dough used for crafts or play clay, too.

Even mortizone won’t save you…

I can’t see you eating cookie dough

What? Well, it doesn’t get much past the butter sugar stage before I eat it.

Mac’s Trackpad Gesture to Swipe Between Pages

Mac's Trackpad Gesture to Swipe Between Pages

Maybe I just have a bad habit of dragging my fingers around on my trackpad without actually wanting to do anything. Regardless, the amount of two finger movement needed to go back and forth in webpages can’t be bigger than an inch.

I haven’t used a regular mouse for months but seriously, uncheck this if you value your sanity.

H5N1 - Ready to Annihilate Humans

tcr! · Nov 28, 2011 at 8:45 pm

H5N1 virus

Anthrax isn’t scary at all compared to this

A group of scientists is pushing to publish research about how they created a man-made flu virus that could potentially wipe out civilisation.

The deadly virus is a genetically tweaked version of the H5N1 bird flu strain, but is far more infectious and could pass easily between millions of people at a time.

The research has caused a storm of controversy and divided scientists, with some saying it should never have been carried out.

Sounds like either a military finance/strong-arm operation ..or.. an ego-tripping scientist.

I hate it when I sneeze and bite my tongue. Anybody else ever do this?

Feeling less volatile now — if I had a nap, I might come around to normal.
