It’s important to me to improve. When I was drinking I was just unhappily stuck and often times would go backward. When I seek to improve that contact with the cosmic spirit, I change. I grow. I become more than what I am.

We all know this. Again, “it’s nothing new.”

But…there’s more. I was talking to a friend recently and she was telling me of her recent Buddhist meditation session. One of the topics was that the cosmic spirit is also expanding. God, the holy ghost, whatever sticker you wanna put on it — this force is also growing and becoming more.

That was a pretty cool thought. With all the negativity in the world it’s reassuring to believe, to know that the cosmos is also improving, widening, deepening.

It’s a good feeling to be connected to that. To contribute, to be part of that greater good.
