Peeps, here’s your you-keep-your-distance Friday jam.
While going down your own Tears For Fears rabbit hole, do yourself a favor and DON’T listen to any live version of this song from 2000 or later. Your bum hole will be ruined for life.
But back to the video… I was happy that Roland and the librarian were together in the end. Without the chimp. Animals really shouldn’t wear clothes.

Donnie Darko didn’t happen for me in real time. i caught up with Donnie LONG after the fact on a DVD with extras that i bought.
a woman i worked with was the age appropriate for Donnie when Donnie happened and she was in love with him from those days.
i watched it, maybe 10 years late, and i fell in love with all of its surrealism.
i wonder why surrealism is called that? not the history of the word. just that more of life fits in the surreal category than not for me (ok, at least half the time) and i’m happy with those numbers. divided by zero and multiplied by green.

Ya, I didn’t watch Darko when it first came out either. Maybe 2-3 years later. It was one where too many people I knew hyped it and then I was all smug, like it couldn’t be that good. And then it was that good.
And plus one for surrealism is more everyday life. Me, two.
