If you’re not interested in COVID-19 vaccinations this post isn’t for you. 😊
But if you are interested and haven’t got the vax yet and live in my area, it’s pretty easy. Yesterday Sara sent me a link (because she’s good like that) to the Kane Vax Hub.
This is the link:
https://events.juvare.com/IL-IDPH/f78c26a6-a753-41b8-9a34-4d2edbc9d73e/
Visit the website, find your preferred date/time and make an appointment. Don’t doddle on the website because the slots go quickly and you’ll loose your preferred date/time. And then you’ll curse at yourself and maybe slap your cat and have to start over.
After you get an appointment show up to Vax Hub on Randall Road, fill out a form, and get your first dose. When you’re there, they’ll tell you the date of when you can get your second dose. When you get home you can go back on the website and schedule another appointment. Yay, you!
And then all of this will be off your mind. You’ll feel relieved. Kinda like after you finally file your April taxes or finally take out the garbage.
I put getting vaccinated off for awhile because I didn’t get COVID-19. And then I put it off because I had other stuff to do. And then I put it off because I didn’t know how to do it. But then last month Sara gave me simple steps (again because she’s good like that) and before I knew it I was fully vaccinated.
My point is, there isn’t any reason to wait now. It’s your turn. You’re eligible. And you deserve it.
Also, the FDA has approved Pfizer for 12-15 year olds in case you didn’t know. Maggie got her first vax yesterday. I made an appointment and four hours later we were standing in line. The simplicity of making that happen is what prompted me to post something.
Also x 2, the Kane Vax Hub feels like an army apocalypse compound. That’s okay. I didn’t see any guns or hear any yelling or see any families being ripped apart. I did see a fleet of wheelchairs though and I really wanted to steal one, but that’s not who I am anymore. And Maggie wouldn’t have allowed it anyway.

Where I went felt a little army, but they got the job done. No longer wait than you’d expect with that many people. This was in Feb.

Yep, having it like a little army base was good. Kept people moving along 😊

This is the coolest vax sticker I’ve seen yet.

Still looking for the best spot for it, too
