As I sit here doing boy stuff, I was thinking about girl stuff. And something dawned on me while listening to Free Fallin’ by Tom Petty and thinking about Sara. Because she likes horses and so does the woman in Petty’s song.[1]
So what I was thinking is that what women want is to be wanted. They want to count. They want to feel like the relationship is important. Above all else, they want to know.
The specifics of how we as men show them these things are up to us as individuals[2] based on our personalities and the like but the end games are the same.
Keep in mind that I generally don’t know what I’m talking about but I have a feeling I’m close.

I always thought that song was about him finally getting rid of that girl 🤔
I think he doesn’t take her seriously at first and then realizes later just how important she is to him.
PS- don’t draw any comparisons between Tom and myself 😉

I think it’s up to everyone as an individual in a relationship to make the other feel wanted for sure. For instance gay relationships, doesn’t depend on a man to make these feelings of importance come to light. Just the significant other ya know?
