This was when I still had a 2 jobs.
But anyway…bygones…
I was sitting on the front porch in sunshine, alone. I love that. Older I get, the warmer I like it. Still don’t like jungle hot and humid, but I like being in warm sunshine.
My good-dog, (Phoebe the cat. no one knows why jimI calls his cats dogs.) still had one tooth left in her head. She now has none, but she’s fine.
With one tooth, Phoebe caught, killed and proudly showed as a trophy a ground squirrel. Chipmonks, sometimes people here call ‘em chipmonks.
I loved watching Phoebe do what she does best. Some cringe and wonder “why they do that.” “they’re not hungry.”
I try telling ‘em that cats are always gonna run after and capture/kill what they see as “prey”, or, in cat lingo, “fun.”
I’m not the least bit sadistic. The laws of nature pretty much insist on being obeyed though.
Lots of people don’t know it, but “what goes around comes around” is also a law of nature. It was noteworthily recorded in the bible as “as ye sow, so shall ye reap”. It’s one of my favorite laws.
Right after the law of gravity. I pretty much agree with the law of gravity, which is easier than not.
Believing in the law of gravity pretty much sums up my spiritual life too. You don’t have to believe in gravity for it to work. But you’ll be happier and suffer fewer consequences if you go along with the program though.
If everyone knew and operated this way, things would be smoother here on earth.
Like other physical laws, “what goes around comes around” is gonna insist on being obeyed, eventually.
If you fly too high, you’ll eventually have to land, or come down. If you enjoy being mean or unkind to others, you’ll eventually understand what they felt like when you did that to ‘em.
This keeps me going on bad days. Some days I win. Some days I lose. Some days it rains.
Some days I’m the mouse. Soon I’ll be the cat.
