I’m not sure if this is an example of imagery, but it is what i think of when i think of imagery. there might be a more correct literary term, and i will find it out, or you will help me find it out.

In “Beasts of the Southern Wild”, the children find a boat. On the boat were the pleasant ladies, and the food (deep-fried, battered alligator, which Hushpuppy’s momma said had magical healing properties), and a wise man.

The name of the boat is Elysian Fields. This was the name for “heaven” for the ancient Romans.

This is an example of imagery. The boat, remember, is where Hushpuppy encountered her mother’s spirit. Heaven.
