Nephew: Gene Wilder, Star of Mel Brooks Movies, Dies At 83
Los Angeles (AP) — Gene Wilder, the frizzy-haired actor who brought his deft comedic touch to such unforgettable roles as the neurotic accountant in “The Producers” and the deranged animator of “Young Frankenstein,” has died. He was 83.
😞 He was such a staple of my youth movie watching. Quirky, funny, emotional, outrageous, anti-leading man. Men like Wilder helped me learn to be okay just being me, frizzy hair and all.

- Young Frankenstein
- Silver Streak
- Stir Crazy
- The Woman in Red
- Haunted Honeymoon
- See No Evil, Hear No Evil
In related news, my mom took me to see Stir Crazy when it came out in 1980. I was 8 at the time and it’s Rated R. See how badass my mom is?

a birthday movie was a tradition for a couple of years. in retrospect, i suspect he wanted someone to go with. we went to the Godfather 2 two years later.
