Lyrics

Weird the things we take
with us to the lake
Keepsakes in our veins
with us in our lanes
Kissing at the stoplight
In the broad daylight
Double parked in your car
Smoking with the stars
I sucked I guess
at just being cool
And there you were
eating all the glue

5 minutes to, to Cicero
Heard a love song and thought of you
5 minutes to, to Cicero
Running far away was all I ever
Wanted to do, just me and you

Was hopelessly in love with you
You didn’t look up from your phone
Convinced of us, filled with lust, and trust
You were building great walls, I didn’t know

Lost in, in a drift
Stuck in, in a rift
Looking for, for a shift
Falling off, off the cliff

Dreamed to marry you
Keep you in my arms
An endless love story
Romance, all that glory
Had to bluntly break free
So that you’d agree
Wasn’t easy for me
Come over and leave
It’s not what I wanted
Both our souls are haunted
Ever-after endgame
Soaked in tears and blame

5 minutes from, from Cicero
I didn’t come looking for a fight
5 minutes from, from Cicero
I can cut you just as deep
Gonna ignore you all I want

Threw my heart and hopes on the line
You sighed and laughed at my shoes

You were just somebody
Could’ve been anybody

Excellent crisp snap on the percussion here alongside some great angular guitar tones. I thought the vocals had this really interesting understated delivery that paired well with the stripped back instrumentation.

I really like the slightly longer intro with the riffs developing progressively until finally showing how the melody would follow. The song brings a fast-paced rock, but still with a perception of lightness, preserving the lively side of the melody while the vocals follow in a measured way throughout the single. The poetry manages to continue helping to add even more sonority through the well-constructed rhymes. In addition, the idea of stream of consciousness added to the sound creates something almost experimental to your art.
Bruna Antenore

I really liked the guitar with its striking riffs that give the song its identity and dynamism, creating some really captivating moments. The drums, meanwhile, sustain the energy of the composition with precise beats and rhythmic variations that complement the other instruments, making the experience even more engaging. Overall, it's a solid piece of work.
Everybody is crying

The vocal keeps it cool and low-key with the performance over the funky classic rock instrumental
a song in life

An electrifying ride from start to finish. The fusion of super-charged guitar riffs with hypnotic bass lines creates an intense and immersive energy. The vocals add depth and urgency, while the dynamic drum rhythms keep the momentum alive. It's an uptempo track that is raw, rebellious, and impossible to ignore.

The tight arrangement, driving rhythms, and hypnotic basslines create a solid foundation, and I really appreciate the raw, no-nonsense energy in the track.

Man, what a ride I just went on! Really like that mysterious, non convencional, kinda dark sound. Love the odd structure of the song, as well.
Gustavo Chagas

Such has an energetic percussive aspect, chords that want in on the action but it is clear that the winner in all of this is a singer who has his own style and it is going to orchestrate how everything plays out. What an idiosyncratic work it is too, a funk for sure and reminding of Sonic Youth at various time but probably out there on its own for the vast majority of its running time. I do like when an act just goes with their own internal flow

A fascinating piece of experimental rock, delivering a melodic, harmonious, and highly captivating sound. The spoken-word vocal style adds a unique narrative touch, making the track feel truly original and authentic. The structure is dynamic and cohesive, evolving seamlessly while maintaining an engaging flow. The composition and lyrics stand out, creating a distinctive atmosphere. From a technical perspective, the production, mixing, and mastering are solid, with a clear sound and a well-balanced dynamic range.
Indie Valley Music

A song with intense energy and well-executed instrumentation. The guitar riffs are powerful, and the bass line has a hypnotic quality that gives it a sense of depth. The drums provide a staccato rhythm that adds dynamism, and the layered vocals create an interesting nostalgic atmosphere.
Ruth Lopez

An interesting, melodic and catchy song, with a pulsating bass and a guitar that even reminds us of Black Sabbath at times, even though it is a different style. The instrumental is well-crafted and the vocals fit very well.
