Steely Dan make up words all the time in their lyrics.

“Grok” the shape of things to come.  So it’s a verb, but who knows.

I was gonna bleat about the electric piano and the girl singers on this track.  The guitars, drums and horns are off the chart perfect so I think the piano and background vox sometime get overlooked.

“Bang zoom to the moon of things unknown!”

I suspect they’re killing the pestilence and vermin in this song.

It’s a crazy comparison, but they’re like Led Zeppelin in their prolificity.  You can know every song they ever made and never get tired.
