I heard a radio show today with a guy called “Redbeard”.  Apparently he’s got his own show.  (I think the show was at least a week old and could easily have been years old for all I know.) The feature was the band Rush.  In my 10 way tie for favorite, Rush is definitely in there.  I see them as the likely children of Led Zeppelin, but DAMN!  Their music stands the test for me.  I can still listen to that old RUSH! album, (I may have imagined the exclamation point) with the pink lettering on the front and it’s a solid piece of work.  Led Zeppelin and Rush were my main contenders on that side of the spectrum.  

I saw Rush, circa ‘78 or so, around the time their live album was new, and they were definitely the real deal.
