Because people think sandwiches can be racist, the staff at our downtown Subway is entirely Filipino, and I’m Canadian - as a people, we have an inherent fear of being accidentally rude. What if somebody thinks I’m opposed to coloured cheddar for reasons of prejudice? It’s paranoia, but with all those nazis running around these days, you gotta be careful.
