i’m not sure what a remix is, but i think i’d like to hear marianne faithfull’s 1979 album “broken english” without the synthesizers.

in place of the synthesizers, i’d just turn up the guitars or maybe play those fuzzy sounds with that bottleneck thingy they do.

i’d also erase or at least put that cymbal way further away from the mic.  then maybe i’d turn up the other percussion.

synthesizers were all the rage in 1979.  and that whole disco thing with the bass.  it’s kind of cornball to hear today.  

my ADHD tells me to mention at this time that whenever i hear the smashing pumpkins “1979”, i think to myself, “i was there”.  about the 10th row, center stage, concert style seating.
