In the vid, when she’s hugging Arthur Miller and doing the lip-biting flirt with Joe DiMaggio?  She was genuinely in love with both those guys, it looks like to me.  She was not dumb and struggled to prove it.  I can identify very strongly with that sentiment.  An Icon.  Elton did her justice with this song.
