one of the vids that come up after king crimson is the band YES’s playing “Roundabout”.
favorite of mine.
i have 2 different Yes greatest hits pkgs. when i play them, they’re my favorite music ever. same as about 20 different bands. this was when they were trying; experimenting, doing different things.
i especially love the stones from a certain period and every single second of every led zeppelin song, but these guys (King Crimson, Yes, etc) were in a tough business and they made their mark in a significant way. they didn’t play the same old shit, and they did so memorably. these were hit songs. there was a thing called AOR (album oriented radio) when there used to be a thing called radio. Radio was a medium for getting the music across to the audience in those days. Having a “hit” on the radio was a big deal. there were different formats on different radio stations. AOR played the songs from the album that was out at the time and played “deeper” cuts, IE songs that didn’t make the Top 40. (The Top 40 was a different kind of deal. It was fine but it wasn’t’ comprehensive.)

my first comment included the reference “un temps”, in French.
i think i meant, “un fois”, in French, as in, “One Time!” in Anglais.
it’s a catch-all phrase of mine that i use indiscriminately in a hipster way. “One Time!” was something that a lesbina girl said to me in a critical moment.
She said, “Right There! One Time!”. i felt cool enough to misappropriate her phrase and interpret it as, “Un Fois!”, which, i hope to christ and half his sergeants means, “One Time!” in Francais.
someone please stop me before i “voila” mybadself off the internet!
