I was having what has been called a “mystical” crap.
Due to our move, I unearthed some old issues of Rolling Stone. I was perusing issue #985. Page 47. It was an article about what was a hot topic at the time, “Abu-Ghraib”, written by Matt Taibbi. The title was “Ms. America” and was more specifically about Lynndie England.
The line that got me was to the point that her defense consisted of her plea that she was a half-wit. It killed me. In the middle of the night.
“I’m sorry yer honor. I’m not too bright and a hillbilly to boot. I’d like to go home now.”
It’s politically correct to say that while you don’t support the war, you support the troops. I wish I could say that. I’d have to have an asterisk.
