those are the only 2 verses i was satisfied with. i wrote and showed some others, but i couldn't finish it satisfactorily.

it owes much to a much longer prose/poem/bleat i wrote that had the lines "zelda's delicate sanity". i always been fascinated with her and him. when i think of their lives i'm reminded of leonard cohen's line: "a visionary flood of alcohol"

which reminds me of an old friend of me and p. glen and some other's. this guy was named charlie and he washed out of seminary school. he got booted for drinking. but he maintains the problem was simply that he couldn't keep up with all the others. he said the trouble was "acting drunk", as opposed to drinking, because they all drank, much more than him.

Yep, it's the drunken behavior that'll get you in trouble, much more than the amount consumed.
