i really agonized about including giraffes. i should really reconsider. porpoise and dolphins and whales too. but they don’t have the vaudevillian appeal as the others. kangaroo, platypus and penguins are shoo in. i included dingo sentimentally. the wolverine is also a natural but it’s a personal story. elaine and i saw a documentary and there was a guy who trapped a live wolverine. it was in a box. the asshole poked the wolverine with a stick through holes in the box. you can imagine what the sounds were like. i’ve been waiting for part 2 of that documentary ever since. i hope that wolverine is waiting for the guy some night and pokes the trapper with a stick. honey badger actually has his own documentary. he is a complete character. peacocks? what else can you say?
