nailed to the door

addicting speed

myopic greed

bill graham didn’t name it the fillmore (fill more seats) and there wasn’t irony involved.  it was just the east coast version of the auditorium in S.F.  it was already named the fillmore, due to the neighborhood.

i don’t want to go to a bar and i can’t afford to go to outdoor festivals, where it might be 100 degree in the shade at showtime, or it might rain.  i know these people need to make money but it used to be different.  read “different” as: affordable.

the people who go the festivals now?  where do they work?  how can they take the time and travel to go these money factories?

i can’t afford to go see my favorite band when they swing this way every summer or so.  but i read about these huge events that are obviously wildly popular.

i suppose i acted the same way when i was their age.  i probably had money to burn too, but i would bet that it is exponentially more expensive to see these shows now.
