2017 IT movie

My jury is still out.  I liked it and hated it.  What are some other opinions?  I thought the Beverly character was portrayed excellent.  Pennywise?  Loved him and hated him.

It had to have been hard to make.  They did a fine job on the Lord of the Rings franchise, but it’s one of the only ones I can think of that successfully filmed fantasy.

I liked it, definitely worth seeing…but it wasn’t as engaging to me as I hoped it’d be. Maybe because I know the story and have also seen that story in other movies: Goonies, Stand By Me, Stranger Things, etc. A group of nerdy types on a quest, adolescents come of age. Okay, I’m generalizing and distilling down to one-liners but one person said it was the best horror movie they’d seen in ten years. I can’t say the same.

Again, it was worth seeing. The kid backstories for Beverly, Ben, and Eddie all made the show for me. Henry Bowers, too. I like having history there so I can care about the characters. I’ll be interested to see the sequel with the adults. Maybe because I can relate more with the nerd-types who’ve grown up these days.

The CGI was well done and you know that it is when you aren’t taken out of the movie by some corny effect. I’m glad they left out the spider from the previous mini-series. 😊

Just to put this out there, the plot wasn’t the movie’s fault. And I don’t have anything against either.

I read the book many years ago. I was an adult, but barely. I loved it. The movie would have been difficult to make well.

Yep, like you said… Lord of the Rings is prob the only one that made it over the bar.
